Non Emergency Medical Transportation Program (NEMT)

OVERVIEW

The Non-Emergency Medical Assistance Transportation program coordinates transportation services for medical assistance recipients who reside in Charles County and need transportation to access medically necessary services. Residents must apply to the program if eligible. This is a service and not an entitlement.  This program provides “last resort” transportation for Medical Assistance recipients who have no other means available to get to and from medical appointments. Modes of service transportation available include Ambulatory, Wheelchair Van, and Ambulance.

Eligibility Requirements

Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (except holidays)

Hours of Operation for Ambulatory/Wheelchair

Monday-Friday 5:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

(Saturday transportation available for Kidney Dialysis only)
