Mallows Bay is designated as a national 
marine sanctuary, protecting the remains 
of more than 100 abandoned steamships 
and vessels built as part of America’s 
engagement in World War I. Offering 
3 MILES OF WILDLIFE TRAIL over easy to 
difficult terrain. True nature lovers will be 
greeted with an abundance of animal 
sightings including ospreys, blue herons 
to beaver dams and turtles. During low tide 
enjoy glimpses of the Ghost Fleet.
